The proponent of a four-unit development in a quiet East Toowoomba street has scuttled plans for the project.
Modern Projects Qld Pty Ltd had proposed two two-bedroom units and two three-bedroom units on land at 14 Cedar St, East Toowoomba, in April 2019.
The proposal for four two-storey villas would have seen the existing low-set brick dwelling and ancillary outbuildings removed to make way for the development, plans lodged with Toowoomba Regional Council said.
The council issued an information request asking for more information on stormwater issues, vehicle manoeuvring, earthworks and retaining structures, and detailed landscape design.
But after numerous extensions of the time frame to provide a response, the company withdrew its application on October 21.
