FORTY years of sporting dedication and determination was recognised last week.

Hosted by Urban Grounds Cafe, Darling Downs School Sport recognised the achievements of student athletes, officials and coaching staff at a special dinner.

The dinner was headlined by three Olympians and two NRL legends - all of whom represented the Darling Downs in school sport.

Shane Webcke, Steve Price, Matthew Denny, Karen Robertson and Gemma Etheridge shared parts of their journeys from student athletes to Australian representatives during a Q&A session.
