Crime scene declared after man’s body found at Tweed Heads

A crime scene has been declared after a man’s body was found in a river at Tweed Heads.

A crime scene has been declared after a man’s body was found in a river at Tweed Heads.

Emergency services were called to Jack Evans Boat Harbour about 5.40pm on Monday.

NSW Police confirmed the body was yet to be formally identified but it is believed to be a man in his 40s.

“Police established a crime scene, and investigations commenced into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death, which remains unclear,” a spokesman said.

Investigations are ongoing and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
