THE case against a Toowoomba man accused of holding police at bay during a tense 50-minute siege at the offices of Child Safety in Margaret St has been adjourned again.
Graham David Warry, 41, has been held in custody since the July 19 incident and was not present when charges against him were mentioned before Toowoomba Magistrates Court.
Police claim Warry had doused himself in fuel and held aloft a cigarette lighter while yelling abuse at Child Safety staff during the alleged incident on the afternoon of Friday, July 19.
He has not as yet been required to enter any pleas to the charges which include arson, threatening violence, entering a premises with intent and wilful damage.
His solicitor David Burns told the court yesterday he was seeking a further adjournment while possible psychological issues with his client were investigated.
Mr Burns said he would know within two weeks whether a psychological report would be required.
Magistrate Bruce Schemioneck granted the adjournment and remanded Warry in custody with all charges to be next mentioned back in the same court on November 12.
