The Toowoomba Regional Council has launched a massive recruitment drive to fill more than 100 permanent and casual vacancies across the organisation.

Job ads for the first 38 positions have been listed online, with 108 spots needing to be filled over the coming months.

The shortfall in employees was highlighted in the council’s annual report in September.

Finance and business strategy acting general manager Ann-Marie Johnston said about a third of the vacancies were for permanent staff, with the rest offering casual hours.

“The majority of these vacancies are in council’s infrastructure services and environment and community groups, but there are opportunities available across all areas of council,” she said.

“These positions offer a variety of working arrangements including full-time, part-time and casual.

“Many of these positions offer additional flexible work-life balance arrangements and range from entry level to supervisory and management roles.

“Salary ranges from entry level to the highest level outlined in the local government industry award requiring professional degree level qualifications.”

The job ads can be found on online portals like Seek.
