A doggie daycare facility has been proposed on land close to the Toowoomba CBD.

Pet Stock has put forward plans to the council to use an existing commercial premises located at 57 Clifford St, Toowoomba.

The company currently operate several pet daycare facilities across Australia.

At capacity, the facility would house up to a maximum of 53 dogs on site per day, “consistent with the code of practice for dog boarding facilities”.

“The facility would include internal works for modular fencing for the four yards, an exercise yard and includes a new opening between the two warehouse spaces,” the application said.

The daycare will include dog grooming and dog wash facilities as well, and there are plans to use the property for dog training classes on Saturdays.

At capacity, there would be six staff members on site and the proposed hours of operation are from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to noon on Saturdays for dog training.

Toowoomba Regional Council is assessing the proposal.
