Meringandan West development granted additional six months in which to be completed
A DEVELOPER has secured a further six months to complete a subdivision at Meringandan West, citing uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Taylored Financial Solutions Pty Ltd lodged a request to extend the currency period of its approval for a 1 into 54 lot subdivision on Goombungee-Meringandan Rd at Meringandan West on August 7.
Toowoomba Regional Council last week approved the extension request.
“The applicant has recently purchased the property from the original developer,” a council report said.
“The applicant has a history of rural residential and residential lifestyle property development and is committed to bringing this project to market.
“The applicant has commenced detailed design on the project and intends to commence construction of Stage 1 in early 2021.
“However, due to uncertainty generated by the current COVID-19 pandemic is requesting additional time to finalise the project over and above the six (6) month extension (previously granted by the State Government).”
The subdivision’s approval now expires on February 1, 2022.
