34 roadworks, closures announced by Toowoomba Regional Council across region this week

Look out for these roadworks and closures across the Toowoomba region this week.

Works on the Russell Street reshape.

The Toowoomba Regional Council keeps a weekly register of the roadworks coming up across the region.

Here are the roads and areas affected, sorted by district in alphabetical order:

CENTRAL DISTRICT

Centenary Heights:

– Mackenzie Street (Alderley Street to Ballin Drive) – Traffic disruptions may occur during footpath construction works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required

– Mackenzie Street (South Street to Cassia Street) – Traffic disruptions may occur during footpath construction works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required

Gowrie Junction: Various Roads – Traffic disruptions may occur during pavement repairs. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Kingsthorpe: Storeys Road – Closed during road works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Lilyvale: Various Roads – Traffic disruptions may occur during maintenance grading. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Meringandan: Spies Road – Closed during road works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Mount Lofty: Mary Street (Geoffrey Street to Jellicoe Street) – Traffic disruptions may occur during gully pit repairs. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Newtown:

– Hillside Street (Percy Street to Flora Street) – Traffic disruptions may occur during bus stop works from Tuesday the 9th of March. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

– Campbell Street (Monash Street to Bernard Street) – Traffic disruptions may occur during bus stop works from Tuesday the 9th of March. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

North Toowoomba: Jellicoe Street (Ruthven Street to Brook Street) – Closed to westbound traffic during water main works from Monday the 15th of March from 6am to 6pm until further notice. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Oakey: Oakey Cutella Road – Traffic disruptions may occur during gravel re-sheeting works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Toowoomba City:

– Russell Street (Victoria Street to Ruthven Street) – Closed to eastbound traffic from Sunday the 14th of February until further notice. Traffic disruptions may occur during preparation for the Russell Streetscape Upgrade. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required. Read more about this project here.

– Victoria Street (Margaret Street to Little Street) – Traffic and pedestrian disruptions may occur during bus stop alterations. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

SOUTHERN DISTRICT

Bongeen: Bongeen Road – Traffic disruptions may occur during road rehabilitation works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Brookstead: Yarramalong Road – Traffic disruptions may occur during road rehabilitation works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Clifton:

– East Street – Traffic disruptions may occur during road profiling and pavement reconstruction works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required

– May Road – Traffic disruptions may occur during maintenance re-sheeting works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Dunmore:

– Waggaba Creek Road – Traffic disruptions may occur during maintenance grading works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

– Waugh Road – Traffic disruptions may occur during maintenance grading works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Linthorpe: Various Roads – Traffic disruptions may occur during maintenance grading works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Southbrook: Jimna Springs Road – Traffic disruptions may occur during maintenance re-sheeting works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required

Spring Creek: Upper Spring Creek Road – Traffic disruptions may occur during road rehabilitation works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

NORTHERN DISTRICT

Anduramba: Anduramba Range Road – Closed.

Crows Nest: John Street (Toowoomba Road to Grace Street)- Closed to through traffic during water main works from Tuesday the 23rd of March from 6am to 6pm until further notice. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Geham:

– Perkins Flat Road – Traffic disruptions may occur during road maintenance works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place as required.

– Aberdein Road – Traffic disruptions may occur during road maintenance works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place as required.

Gowrie Junction: Old Homebush Road (Birdsong Court to Rody-Burke Road) – Closed to through traffic during road construction works. Resident access will be maintained. Signage and traffic detour in place from January to May 2021.

Highfields: O’Brien Road (Highfields Road to Clarke Road) – Traffic disruptions may occur during road works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place as required

Kleinton: Lane Road, Creek Road – Traffic disruptions may occur during road maintenance works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place as required.

Maclagan:

– Bunya Mountains Road – Traffic disruptions may occur during road maintenance works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place as required.

– Douglas Nutgrove Road – Traffic disruptions may occur during road maintenance works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place as required.

Meringandan West: Meringandan-Shirley Road (Meringandan School Road to Woolmar Road) – Traffic disruptions may occur during road works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place as required.

Ravensbourne: Ravensbourne Dip Road – Traffic disruptions may occur during road maintenance works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place as required.

Yalangur: Kingsthorpe Haden Road (Kelvinhaugh Boodua Road to Boodua Meringandan Road) – Traffic disruptions may occur during road works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place as required.
