Cotswold Hills couple all smiles after winning new car

COTSWOLD Hills couple Angela and Graham Docherty couldn’t believe their luck when told they had just won a new car.

COTSWOLD Hills couple Angela and Graham Docherty couldn't believe their luck when told they had just won a new car.

The Dochertys were drawn as the winners of the Grand Central Shopping Centre Christmas Competition taking home a brand new Toyota Corolla Levin ZR worth $35,000.

Mrs Docherty said she couldn't imagine winning such a big prize.

"I regularly enter in all sorts of competitions. However, this is the first time I have won anything," Mrs Docherty said.

"I thought I wasn't lucky enough to win, but it seems this time I was.

"I got a real shock when they told me I had won the car. I thought it was a joke at first."

More than 10,000 people entered the promotion which required shoppers to spend over $60 at Grand Central to enter.

Mrs Docherty said the win has come at a great time as she had only recently started to look for a new car.

"It is a great late Christmas present," she said.

"I think it's definitely a great note to start the New Year on."
