Coronavirus Australia live updates: Tasmania reports record jump in cases
Tasmania has reported another 11 new cases of coronavirus, its biggest single-day jump in infections since the beginning of the pandemic.

Australia's leaders met on Friday to consider tough new lockdown measures to contain the rapid spread of coronavirus, while also seeking to effectively put the economy on hold to save as many jobs and businesses as possible.

Meanwhile, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has outlined the triggers that will force the state into a drastic "stage three" lockdown and the one number "we're most worried about", indicating she's ready to move ahead of the Commonwealth if required.
More than 3000 cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed across Australia with 1405 in New South Wales, 574 in Victoria, 555 in Queensland, 255 in Western Australia, 257 in South Australia, 62 in the ACT, 58 in Tasmania and 12 in the Northern Territory.
Thirteen people have died – two in WA, seven in NSW, one in Queensland and three in Victoria.
