The Toowoomba region’s northernmost small town will be flooded with mountain biking enthusiasts next month as the community prepares to hold the inaugural Yarraman Finish Line Festival.

The festival, developed by the Yarraman Business Group and Bicycle Queensland, will serve as the final leg of an extensive Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.

Business group secretary Tania Paul said the influx of tourists to Yarraman would be a big boost for small businesses in the area.

“We see the visitors to our town for this event a major plus for local business, so we are encouraging everyone to seize the opportunity and showcase what they can offer to entice these people to come again and bring their friends,” she said.

“This event has been very much anticipated due to the cancellation of the previously planned event in June 2020.”

The festival will be held from 10am on June 5.
