TROMBONIST Amelia Webster was nervous before hitting the stage at the 73rd City of Toowoomba Eisteddfod.

The Fairholme College student performed Caro Mio Ben by Giuseppe Giordani at the Year 7 and 8 Other Brass Solo section.

Amelia said she chose that particular piece because it was challenging to play.

"There are a quite a few high notes in the piece which are challenging," Amelia said.

Amelia performed alongside returning musicians such as Toowoomba Grammar School's Harry Gallagher and The Glennie School's Isabella Shelton.

Harry said he had performed in singing and drama for the past six years of the eisteddfod.
