Monty Brewing draws huge crowds to its Highfields site during opening weekend

The beer was flowing freely and the food kept coming during the official opening weekend of Monty Brewing at Highfields.

With a view of the Lockyer Valley as a backdrop, cold beer, cocktails and fine food, Monty Brewing was the place to be at the weekend.

Though trading for a couple of weeks now, Monty Brewing Co. had its official opening of its new Highfields site at the weekend and drew huge crowds.

“You should have seen it last night (Friday),” co-owner Nathan Semmens said while busy tending tables on Saturday.

The site on the New England Highway at Highfields has been five years in the making but going by crowds at the weekend it’s been well worth the wait.

The business combines an onsite brewery, bar, restaurant and bottle shop all of which were doing a roaring trade at the weekend.

Diners can enjoy lunch and dinner at tables either inside the restaurant or outside with sweeping views of the Lockyer Valley.

Monty Brewing Co. will welcome more patrons when the site opens again on Sunday.
