Ballerinas will be pirouetting on the Empire Theatre stage this month, as part of a major milestone.

Queensland Ballet’s Tutus on Tour will showcase a combination of past and present works from some of Australia’s most respected contemporary choreographers.

Set to captivate audiences through the art of traditional ballet, works will include OBE’s Grande Pas Classique by founding artistic director Charles Lisner.

The program will also include François Klaus’ Cloudland Pas de Deux, Don Quixote Pas de Deux and Greg Horsman’s Never Stop Falling Down.

Operating for 60 years, Queensland Ballet will also be touring in celebration of reaching the special anniversary milestone.

Following the Toowoomba performance, the production will then take to the stage in Maryborough, Logan and Redcliffe too.

Tutus on Tour is supported by the State Government through Arts Queensland.

The performance will be at the Empire Theatre on Saturday, August 14.

Ticket prices vary and start from $48 for adults.

To secure a booking, phone the Empire Theatre on 1300 655 299 or visit empiretheatre.com.au.
