FROM Wednesday, September 6 motorists will be travelling on the new alignment of the Warrego Highway between Charlton and Zimm's corner, with a traffic switch planned for this week.
During the night of Tuesday, September 5, both eastbound and westbound traffic will be moved to the newly-constructed eastbound carriageway, approximately five kilometres to the east of Kingsthorpe-Haden Road.
To the west of Kingsthorpe-Haden Road, traffic will continue to use the new westbound carriageway while upgrade works are carried out on the existing road.
Reduced speed limits, directional signage and traffic control will be in place during the traffic switch.
Motorists are asked to obey directional signage and take care while travelling through the area.
