SDRQ Tails and Trails

Dogs and their owners will be jumping for joy with the region hosting an upcoming fun run event.

Queensland’s Sled Dog Racing Club is hosting an inaugural Tails and Trails fun run to get dogs and their owners outdoors and attract memberships.

“With Covid-19, we’ve seen a rise in obesity rates in dogs, as well as separation and behavioural issues, due to a lack of socialisation and mental stimulation,” vice-president Daniel Rose said.

“Rather than competition, Tails and Trails has a fun run type spin on it and is a way for dog owners to keep active with their family pets, while also raising awareness about our club and sport.”

The event will kick off at 7am on September 25, at Pechey State Forrest.
