Car and motorbike collide in Toowoomba street

EMERGENCY services are on their way to a two-vehicle crash in Toowoomba.

UPDATE: Queensland Ambulance Service have transported a man to Toowoomba Hospital after a car and motorcycle collided on Charles Street, Newtown, earlier this afternoon.

A QAS spokesman said the man was taken to hospital with chest injuries.

He was in a stable condition and conscious, the spokesman said.

EARLIER: Emergency services have rushed to a two-vehicle crash in suburban Toowoomba. 

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said initial reports suggested a car and motorcycle had collided in Charles Street, Newtown. 

Queensland Ambulance Service officers are assessing a patient at the scene, a QAS spokeswoman confirmed.

The incident was reported about 2.10pm.
