A Queensland woman has been charged with fraud after allegedly hacking into a social media account and selling fake tickets to a country music concert in Adelaide.

A woman has been charged with fraud after allegedly hacking into a social media account and selling fake tickets to a Luke Combs concert in Adelaide.
The 19-year-old Yorkeys Knob woman was charged on Thursday following investigations by Smithfield Criminal Investigation Branch.
Officers from Smithfield CIB investigated the incident in conjunction with South Australia Police after they received the fraud complaint.
The woman was charged with one count of fraud and will face Cairns Magistrates Court on March 12.
American country music star Luke Combs flew into Australia in August last year as part of his Luke Combs World Tour 2023, performing one show in Adelaide on August 23.
It follows a spate of separate incidents around the country where fans, including those looking to attend Taylor Swift’s Era’s tour, have been left disappointed after purchasing dupe tickets.
Fans of popular Australian indie-pop singer Vance Joy were also left disappointed last year after an alleged scam announcing a Cairns concert circulated on social media.
Cairns Criminal Investigation Branch is warning locals of a rise in cybercrimes across the area.
Online scams come in different forms and can be hard to spot.
Victims are being warned that they may not have their lost funds reimbursed, as it is difficult to track down the person or group that has scammed you.
It is also at the discretion of banks as to whether they refund a purchase.
Do not be tricked into sending a copy of your driver's licence to someone you don’t know, even if they send you a copy of one.
Scammers can use this tactic to steal your ID to scam more people.
If you suspect you’ve been a victim, reports can be made through the government Cyber.gov.au website.
