From electricians to carpenters, concreters to plumbers, the Far North is home to some of the best tradespeople in the state.
The Far North is home to award-winning housing and construction businesses as well as savvy apprentices and top trades students.
In 2022, the Top 5 construction jobs in the Far North included machinery operators, plumbers, cabinetmakers, eathmoving plant operators and glaziers.
With a varied pool of trade sectors to choose from, the search is on for Far North Queensland’s hottest tradie.
After being inundated with hundreds of names, we’ve compiled a poll with the top nominees including electrician Nina Gniel, who will “light up your life” according to Rennae Brant-Goodwin who nominated her and “hottest plumber in Cairns” Tille Hanna, as nominated by Min Geros.
Daniel Winters-McAppion said his nominee, audiovisual installer Benjamin Winters-McAppion from Ben’s AV, has a warm smile for every customer.
Angela Arnold said her nominee Zac Arnold was “young fit and giving all he has got concreting in this FNQ weather.”
Readers have until February 19 to vote for their favourite tradie.
