Far North Queensland is home to some of the greatest fishing spots and fishermen in the world and now it is time to judge which catch should win the top title.

The Cairns Post cast a line for nominations for the best catch in the region and reeled in a staggering 95 entries from Far North fishermen across our oceans, lakes, rivers and ponds.

The entries have been divided into two categories, with 50 of the best fishing triumphs in the running for Best Catch in Far North Queensland below.
