A woman has been discharged from hospital after being admitted with head injuries following a light plane crash in Mareeba on Saturday.
The woman in her 50s was flown to Cairns hospital after the plane she was in rolled over on the runway at Mareeba airport.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed on Saturday, a second person was also in the plane, but did not sustain injuries.
“Two patients were on board and have extricated from the plane,” the spokeswoman said at the time.
“Crews transported a female patient in her 50s with a head injury to Cairns hospital.”
A Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service confirmed the woman was discharged on Sunday.
It comes after a teenage boy and another person were hospitalised following two seperate car crashes in the Tablelands on Saturday afternoon.
A QAS spokeswoman confirmed paramedics responded to reports of of a teenager injured in a motorcycle accident at Paddy’s Green around 4pm.
“Crews are responding to an incident in Paddy’s Green after a teen male rolled his motorcycle several times and sustained a head injury,” the spokeswoman said at the time.
The teen was taken by road to Mareeba hospital in a stable condition.
It follows a third, separate crash at Emerald Falls Road, where one patient was transported to hospital following a single vehicle rollover around 4pm.
“There were reports of a single vehicle crash, with four occupants in the car,” the spokeswoman said.
“One patient was taken to Mareeba hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries.”
