Four teenage boys have been charged following a break and enter at a Cairns soccer club which had previously been broken into seven times.

Four teenage boys have been charged following a break and enter at a Cairns soccer club which had previously been broken into seven times.
Police allege four Edmonton teenagers, aged between 13 and 17, smashed all the windows and forced entry through a roller door at Southside Comets Football Club in Edmonton at around 1am on Friday February 9.
The group are also alleged to have stolen property from the club and were identified by police through use of CCTV footage.
Southside Comets Football Club president Keiren O’Brien said the club had increased security measures over the last four years in response to a slew of break ins.
“No matter what we do to beef-up our security, things keep escalating,” Mr O’Brien said at the time of the most recent break in.
Police have not linked the four boys to any of the previous incidents.
All four Edmonton boys, including a 14 year-old, were charged with one count of enter premises.
A 13 year old boy was also charged with one count of stealing, wilful damage, possess breaking implements and face marked with intent.
A 15 year old boy was additionally charged with one count of damaging evidence, possess breaking implements and face marked with intent.
A 17 year old boy was charged with an additional one count of wilful damage.
The four offenders were dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
