A regional road has reopened to traffic and a person has been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash in the Tablelands on Tuesday morning.
A Queensland Police service spokeswoman confirmed half of Clementine Bridge in Malanda, 75km southwest of Cairns, was closed to traffic following a two-vehcile crash at 8.35am.
“(Crews) are on scene. Half the road is closed on Clementine Bridge,” the spokeswoman said.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed crews assessed two patients on scene.
“One declined assessment, the other we transported with some neck precautions, due to the mechanism of the crash,” the spokeswoman said.
“We transported the patient in a stable condition to Atherton hospital.”
Queensland Fire Department crews were also on scene due to potential petrol on the road, a spokeswoman confirmed.
“One car was leaking a bit of petrol, so crews are on scene, waiting for the tow truck to arrive,” the spokeswoman said.
