Led by Geordie Shore icon Charlotte Crosby, the highly-anticipated Australian spin-off, Aussie Shore, will hit global screens on October 3.

And it’s certain not to disappoint, according to cast member and Cairns woman Lily Stephenson, who described the show as “intense, drama and hungover”.

“It’s definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” Ms Stephenson said.

Despite never watching a full season of Geordie Shore or Jersey Shore, Ms Stephenson, who was scouted by producers on a night out clubbing, said she was excited to be part of the Australian spin-off.

The show was filmed over the course of several weeks at a home in Hibiscus Lane, Holloways Beach, in April this year.

“I went out on Australia Day to Gilligan's and was approached by the team, probably because I was so drunk and crazy, and they were like, you’d be perfect for the show,” she said.

Playing on her hometown advantage, Ms Stephenson said she was always suggesting things to do during filming.

“I was able to show them all the nightclubs and suggested things to do, so it worked in my favour being able to show everyone my hometown,” she said.

Less than 48 hours from the show’s international release, Ms Stephenson said she had already been “celebrity spotted” on nights out.

“I’ve been out here and there recently and people have asked me for photos and I feel so famous,” she said.

“It’s nice people are coming up and saying hi and asking about it and stuff. I think Cairns people are interested because there’s someone from Cairns on the show.”

No stranger to reality television, Welsh heart-throb and Love Island Australia alumnus Callum Hole said he was excited to watch the show along with the rest of the world.

“It’s a whole lot of drama,” Mr Hole said.

“Everything we did, whether it was arguments, games or partying was always full tilt and everyone gave 100%.”

Despite the on-screen drama, Mr Hole said he was lucky to be cast with a “great group of people”.

“With any new show, you don’t know what to expect or who the cast is, or if you’re gonna get along with anyone,” he said.

“It’s very rare you meet so many good people on one show, and I’ve come out with a lot of new friends.”

Aussie Shore, produced by streaming giant Paramount+, began filming at Holloways Beach earlier this year, and will follow 11 housemates and their wild adventures around the region.
