Celebrate the Lunar New Year in style at Crystalbrook Riley with a street food festival on the menu at Paper Crane on February 9.

With delectable Chinese inspired dishes, Crystalbrook Collection marketing manager Jamie Binder said the street food festival would be a feast for the senses.

“The idea behind it is that we are welcoming the Year of the Dragon with a street food festival. We’ll have food pop ups, drink specials, Taiko drumming and lion dance and we’ve got performances with local hip hop groups,” Ms Binder said.

“There’s really taking an element of all the cultural groups in Cairns to celebrate the year of the dragon and welcome the Lunar New Year.”

Crystalbrook Collection head chef Jasper Far said the food on offer, including poached sesame chicken and pork and lotus root dumplings, would be one-night only special.

“We’ll have a dumpling station with some steamed dumplings fried dim sims and a sweet station,” Mr Far said.

“We will also have a rotisserie which is inspired from walking down Chinatown and you see all of the roasted chicken, crispy pork belly and we’ll also you have a grill.”

The event will run from 6pm to 9pm on a first-come, first serve basis.
