A car carrying two people has rolled over an embankment on the Gillies Range Road.

Emergency services were called to Gillies Range Road around 8.30pm on Saturday night after a car carrying a man and a woman rolled down an embankment near the Goldsborough turn off.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said both passengers were out of the vehicle and were being assessed by paramedics at the scene.

“It was a difficult, but not an extreme, retrieval for crews,” the spokeswoman said.

The male patient was reportedly in shock with no other injuries detected while the female patient had a fractured wrist and a sore leg, although it was not known whether her leg had been broken.

The spokeswoman said paramedics would be transporting the pair to hospital once they had finished their assessment.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said two crews had been assigned and were on scene to assist in the rescue.

Traffic was blocked in both direction in the vicinity of Vico Street but has since cleared.
