Police have revealed what led to the dramatic arrest of three offenders in front of punters enjoying knock-off drinks at the Crown Hotel on Friday afternoon.

Police have revealed what led to the dramatic arrest of three offenders in front of
punters enjoying knock-off drinks at the Crown Hotel on Friday afternoon.
About a dozen police officers swarmed the corner of Shields and Grafton St and blocked in a small blue hatchback.
At least eleven cops and two undercover cars were deployed to the scene at about 3pm.
The police were speaking to three people who could be seen sitting on the ground outside Rowe Design jewellery store.
Police revealed the three people were charged following an alleged disturbance at Manunda earlier in the day on Friday.
Police allege that about 2pm, the three people attended a Severin St address where they threatened a resident at the property.
The group then fled the area in a vehicle.
About an hour later, patrolling officers spotted a vehicle on Grafton Street matching the description of what was described earlier and took the vehicle’s three occupants into custody.
A 22-year-old Larapinta woman was charged with threatening violence, possessing dangerous drugs, possess used utensils.
A 37-year-old Brinsmead woman was charged with possessing dangerous drugs, possess utensils.
They are both due to appear in Cairns Magistrates Court on March 19.
A 38-year-old Brinsmead man was charged with two counts of unlicensed driving and one count of drug driving.
He is due to appear in Cairns Magistrates Court on April 11.
