It’s one of the most anticipated parts of getting married, but something the happy couple could wait many months for after tying the knot.

But a new Cairns business is offering wedding ‘content creation’ packages that promise to deliver a suite of photos and videos within 24 hours of saying “I do”.

Social media manager Lucy Ryff has just launched the new venture, Bloom Media Cairns, and said bookings for the upcoming wedding season were filling up fast.

What wedding 'content creation' can look like

“It’s basically behind-the-scenes, really casual, fun, candid footage and photos of your wedding day, shot purely for the purpose of sharing on your social media,” Ms Ryff said.

“It’s everything from getting ready, the ceremony, the reception … the moments that are often missed by a photographer or videographer.

“It’s sort of the laughs in between, people tripping over, the tears and all the beautiful little bits and pieces.

“The real tagline of it all is that you get absolutely everything, so all of my raw and all of my edited content, 24 hours after the wedding.”

Ms Ryff said the idea of having a content creator to capture that special day was starting to take off in Sydney, Melbourne and overseas.

“It’s definitely very different to a photographer or videographer and I’m not replacing those roles within your wedding. This is sort of a different luxury,” she said.

“I’m not out to replace either of those but it is also a cheaper option, if you’re perhaps doing like an elopement.”

Bloom Media’s packages include edited clips, short TikTok style videos and trending content that can cover hens and bucks parties, bridal showers or even wedding dress shopping.

Everything is shot and edited on an iPhone, setting the business apart from traditional photography packages in style as well as the turnaround time.

“I got married nine years ago and this was obviously not on offer then,” Ms Ryff said.

“Every year when my anniversary rolls around, I sort of share the same still photo that my lovely photographer took and it’s a beautiful photo, but the format of it is just not for social media.

“I would have loved to have had a bank of beautiful things that I can share.”
