A STATION St business owner has rejected claims the vicinity is a drug hot spot.
Sauce owner Sharyn Donaldson said that in the two years the shop had been operating, nothing "untoward" had been observed in the street.
The comments follow the release of crime maps compiled by the Queensland Police Service which identified Station St as a drug hot spot, having racked up 535 drug offences in the past 13 years.
But Mrs Donaldson said that while illegal activity might have occurred in the street, she had never witnessed it.
"I have never seen anything dodgy," she said.
"I have not seen one single thing. We've been here almost two years."
The worst crime that had happened, she said, was a single plant ripped out of a garden toward the rear of the business.
"One plant was pulled out but I mean, that could happen at home," she said.
"We often work late here into the night and have never seen anything untoward."
