Break-ins at two Toowoomba schools prompts police appeal

SUSPECTS in break and enters and theft at two city schools are currently on the run, with police appealing to the public for any information.

POLICE are appealing for information after two Toowoomba schools were broken into overnight.

A police spokesman said property had been stolen from Rangeville State School after reports of an unlawful entry about 8.15pm last night.

Forensic examinations are currently being conducted for evidence at the school as police look to locate a suspect.

The police spokesman said Toowoomba State High School had also been unlawfully entered between 8pm and 10pm, though no property had appeared to have been stolen at this stage.

Toowoomba Police are urging anyone with information about either incident to contact them by calling 4631 6317 or crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
