A woman who was killed after plunging 80m from a popular swimming spot has been remembered as a “beautiful soul”.

A woman who died after falling 80 metres from a waterfall in a Queensland national park has been identified.
Kate Cooper, 36, died after the horror incident at Mapleton Falls in the Sunshine Coast on Friday afternoon.
In a heartbreaking tribute on social media, her partner, Simon Rosenkranz, described Ms Cooper as “one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met”.
“Rest in peace my love. You were one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met and made me feel so loved,” he wrote.
“I’ll miss and love you more everyday and cherish the memories we made.”
Loved ones shared that Ms Cooper was known for her “kindness, smiles and jokes”.
“She was a beautiful soul, taken way too soon,” one person wrote.
A Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) spokesperson said a 36-year-old woman was treated for significant life-threatening injuries.
However Queensland Police later said she could not be revived.
Another woman, aged 18, also suffered minor injuries and was taken to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
