Teenage girl dies in Lismore after being hit by car and trailer

A teenager on NSW’s North Coast has died in hospital after being hit by a car.

A girl has died in hospital in northern NSW after being hit by a car and trailer.

The incident happened in Lismore on Wednesday afternoon.

The 15-year-old died in hospital.

A male who was driving the ute with a trailer that struck her underwent mandatory police testing; however, police are continuing to investigate and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

The girl was struck on the Bruxner Highway in East Lismore about 5pm on Wednesday.

Police say they were called to reports of a pedestrian being hit by a trailer.

Members of the public administered first aid until paramedics arrived.

She was taken to Lismore Base Hospital but later died. A 42-year-old male was driving the ute involved.
