Two people have been arrested after allegedly shooting a man in the leg in Brisbane’s north.

Queensland Police were called a home on Ferricks St, Stafford, about 2pm on Sunday.

A man in his 40s was found by officers with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg.

Inspector Karl Hahne said police helped the man until paramedics were able to arrive at the home.

“Police immediately applied first aid and a tourniquet, which probably saved the gentleman’s life,” he told Nine News.

Police will allege the offenders had already fled the home before officers arrived.

PolAir was called to assist track down a man and a woman who allegedly fled the scene.

A QPS spokeswoman said a man and a woman were later arrested about 450m down the road on Midson St about 3.15pm.

“Investigations into the circumstances are continuing however it is believed the trio are known to each other and there is no threat to public safety,” she said.
