Fears multiple fatalities in truck crash that sparked grass fire near Dunedoo
Emergency services have been unable to access vehicles involved in a crash near Dunedoo after the collision sparked a major grass fire along a major highway.
Up to four people are feared dead after a fiery truck crash in Central Western NSW.
The crash sparked a grass fire along the Golden Highway and left emergency services unable to access vehicles involved in the collision.
Emergency services rushed to the location at Elong Elong, about 20km west of Dundedoo, where they found a truck on fire.
Paramedics and Fire and Rescue NSW are on scene while the NSW Rural Fire Service extinguished the fire that started as a result of the crash.
A police spokesman said the Golden Highway was closed in both directions between Dunedoo and Ballimore while emergency services respond to the incident.
