Coalition takes lead as Albanese government declines for third week straight, latest Roy Morgan poll finds

Opinion polls have found support is growing for the Coalition, as the majority indicate they are their preferred party to lead.

The Coalition has taken the lead in recent opinion polling with a narrow majority of people indicating they would vote for them.

Support for the Labor Party on a has fallen by 0.5 per cent since last week, according to the latest Roy Morgan poll on federal voting intention conducted this week.

The Coalition have taken the lead with 50.5 per cent of those polled on a two-party preferred basis saying they would vote in their favour.

The result is in line with the low-point experienced by the Albanese government immediately after the defeat of “the Voice” referendum in mid-October.

It is the third straight week of declining support for the Albanese government.

On primary vote, the Coalition is now on 37.5 per cent, up 1 per cent from a week ago, and clearly ahead of the ALP on 29.5 per cent, down 0.5 per cent.

The Greens are on 13.5 per cent, up by 0.5 per cent, and One Nation is on 6.5 per cent, up by 0.5 per cent.

There has been a loss of support for both independents on 7 per cent and all other parties on 6 per cent.

The latest Roy Morgan Poll is based on interviewing a representative cross-section of 1401 Australian electors from November 13 to 19.
