YOUR SAY: THE artist's impression of lookouts planned to replace the Bob Dodd viewing platform on Tobruk Drive is quite impressive.

Overlooking Tabletop (One Tree Hill) and vistas to the east, it is also a perfect site for a Multuggera Memorial, given the recently repeated history of his part in the 1843 "battle" on that feature.

The parking area at the Mt Kynoch viewing area recently benefited from work carried out by TRC. Though more could be done by controlled reduction of foliage that obstructs much of the potential view.

Overlooking the valley that is the proposed route of the controversial Inland Rail corridor and from which the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing (TSRC), currently under construction, can be viewed, the north-eastern end of Katoomba Point would also benefit from provision of a dedicated parking/viewing platform facility.

A viewing platform, probably not as well known, even to locals, is currently situated at the northern end of MacKenzie St, near sewage pumping station 46.

It also provides a vista overlooking TSRC and Inland Rail routes to the east, as well as the ridge along which the original rifle range was located and is now destined for defence housing development.
