All the stats, ranking points and top performers from round 18 of the GFNL

There were some big performances to close out the GFNL regular season, and two of those came from former AFL footballers. See all the stats, ranking points and top performers here.

There were some massive performances in the final home-and-away round of the Geelong Football Netball League.

South Barwon young gun Paddy Kelly produced the best of them according to Premier Data in an ominous sign for elimination final opponents Bell Park.

The former Bendigo Pioneer racked up a formidable 46 disposals, 18 contested possessions, nine clearances, seven tackles and 186 Premier Data ranking points.

There were no shortage of contributors in their commanding win over Geelong West, with Harry Cunningham producing an eye-catching all-round showing with 30 disposals, 20 contested possessions, nine tackles, two goals and 143 points, while Jackson Carmody finished with a bag of six goals to go with 21 disposals up forward.

St Albans talent Hayden Elliot drove the Supersaints to victory at both ends, finishing with four goals, 18 disposals, four intercept marks and 146 points.

Jacob Russell (25 disposals, 13 contested possessions, eight marks, a goal and 144 points) and VFL player Sam Donegan (33 disposals, 20 contested possessions, a goal and 133 points) were also pivotal.

Outgoing Lara playing co-coach Devon Smith left everything out there, with the former GWS and Essendon star tallying 36 disposals, 17 contested possessions, 11 clearances and 145 points.

Former Geelong and St Kilda player Ryan Abbott produced another strong performance with 38 hit-outs, 20 disposals, 14 contested possessions and 153 points.

Jacob Sammut-Miljevic went large for North Shore with 33 disposals, 14 contested possessions, 12 hit-outs, eight marks, a goal and 157 points, while Grovedale ball-winner Jak Tute equalled his total with 29 disposals, 18 contested possessions, 13 clearances and 157 points.

Seagulls midfielders Brad Gerrard (35 disposals, 15 contested possessions, eight clearances and 148 points) and Nathan Arbon (39 disposals, 17 contested possessions, nine clearances) found plenty of the Sherrin despite the result.

In Bell Park’s tight loss to St Mary’s, Dragons ruckman Ollie Bridgewater had 56 hit-outs, 23 disposals, nine clearances and 150 points and Ben Worme registered a jaw-dropping 26 contested possessions to go with 31 disposals, 11 clearances and 143 points

Zak Sherman was St Mary’s top ranked performer with 33 disposals, 22 contested possessions, a goal and 147 points, while Geelong VFL player Hamish Lucas also had a major impact for the Dragons with 26 disposals, 15 contested possessions, a goal and 130 points.

Ruck stars Olivier Northam and Zach Zdybel stuffed the stats sheet in their duel, with Northam tallying 38 hitouts, 25 disposals, 16 contested possessions, nine clearances, a goal and 144 points and Zdybel gathering 32 disposals, 26 hitouts 21 contested possessions, 12 clearances, a goal and 141 points.

Luke Webb (33 disposals, 19 rebound 50s and 146 points) gave the Joeys plenty of rebound as Adam Garner (24 disposals, 15 contested possessions, eight clearances, a goal and 133 points) had a strong influence.

Intercept kings Braden Hocking and Tevan Nofi both dominated the air in Leopold’s win over Newtown & Chillwell with seven intercept marks apiece.

Hocking was the top-ranked player with 20 disposals, nine rebound 50s, a goal and 122 points, while Logan Wagener (34 disposals, a goal and 120 points) had another productive afternoon.
