THE festive season is for giving, and Grand Central is encouraging customers to give thoughtfully by helping charities to support those in need.
Grand Central customers have the opportunity to donate to the Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal, the Target UnitingCare Christmas Appeal and the METRO Care Loads of Love Appeal while they're in-centre.
When shopping at Coles, they can pick up a $2 donation card at the register to make Christmas brighter for children and young people with cancer, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going directly to Redkite.
Customers are also able to give to young girls in foster care by purchasing half-price gifts from Harper Bee to donate to its partner charity City Women Toowoomba, specifically the Bella Girls, Bella Sisters and Hope for our Children programs.
Once again, Myer will be selling their Spirit of Christmas CD, with all proceeds donated to The Salvation Army.
They also have a Give Registry, which is a collection of essential items women need most when they're starting over.
You can help by donating an item on this registry, with all products going to The Salvation Army women's refuges.
For every item you give, Myer will give one too.
Grand Central marketing manager Melissa Shaw said she was thankful for the opportunities to help those in need this festive season.
"We are also thrilled that our charitable gift wrapping stations are in place, which are being run again in partnership with The Salvation Army," she said.
"This year, Grand Central has provided two wrapping stations, allowing even more opportunities for our customers to get their Christmas presents wrapped for a great cause."
