A popular Alice Springs bakery – located right in the heart of town – has hit the market, with the new owner able to take over a business which rakes in almost $2 million a year.
Alice Springs Brumby’s, situated in the Yeperenye Shopping Centre opposite Woolworths, is for sale for $99,000 (plus stock at valuation).
The business is being sold by Territory Business Sales and Valuations agent Andrew Hahn, who said there had been “pleasing levels of interest” in the bakery.
“I can’t say the exact number but there’s been multiple people that have lodged expressions of interest and confidentiality agreements and are being provided information about the business to date,” he said.
“We’ve had the inquiries from Alice Springs, Queensland, outside of Alice in the Territory and also South Australia so it’s been really positive.”
Operating for the past 23 years, the business pulled in almost $2 million in revenue a year, Mr Hahn said.
It was placed on the market April 22.
The bakery had five staff and was refurbished in recent years, Mr Hahn said.
The refurbishment was carried out in 2021, Mr Hahn said, when the Brumby’s was expanded and the bakery’s equipment was updated.
He said the Brumby’s was currently being operated under management by owners with “other business interests” who were looking to focus on those interests.
Training would also be provided to the new owner on how to run the business, Mr Hahn said.
