WITH Australia's newest airport now up and flying, more than 250 pieces of Wagners' equipment will go under the hammer on Wednesday at 10.30am on-site at Wellcamp Airport.
The equipment was used by Wagners to build the nation's first privately-funded public airport and one of Queensland's significant infrastructure projects. It opened late last year.
From dump trucks and earthmovers to forklifts and light towers, the massive ''end of construction sale'' will include 40 earth moving units, 23 crushing units, more than 60 trucks and trailers, 38 road vehicles and a massive amount of ancillary gear.

Wagners' director Denis Wagner said most of the equipment had been acquired specifically for the airport project and was no longer needed as part of Wagners' fleet.
"There is a lot of valuable equipment here in very good condition even though it was used on such a large project," Mr Wagner said.
"We've had a lot of interest from other construction firms and smaller companies looking for a good buy."
