A 23-year-old man will face court in the coming week after a series of alleged Covid-19 breaches.

A MAN has been charged after allegedly breaching the NT border entry requirements.

The 23-year-old man was discovered by police after allegedly stealing petrol from service stations in Barkly, Elliott and Katherine before reaching Darwin.

He then allegedly told police he had been in Mt Isa for the 28 days prior to entering the NT however, further investigations revealed he had been denied entry to Queensland from New South Wales.

Police transferred the man to the Centre of National Resilience at Howard Spring where he allegedly refused to wear a mask and threatened to leave.

He has been arrested and charged with reckless endanger serious harm, two contravene emergency declaration and three counts of stealing.

He was refused bail and is now remanded in custody at Holtze Prison and will appear in court on November 26.
