DARLING Downs residents are expected to be out in force when Australia's newest airport hosts a community day on Sunday.
Wellcamp Airport general manager Phil Gregory expects a crowd of more than 30,000 as Wagners give locals a final chance to see behind the scenes.
"We want to give people an opportunity to see the work going on at Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport before it becomes fully operational," Mr Gregory said.
Wagners director and event manager Joe Wagner said with big crowds expected extra measures had been put in place to make it easier for locals to make it out on the day.

"The schedule has been split into identical morning and afternoon sessions to break up the crowds," Mr Wagner said.
"A portion of Cecil Plains Rd is to be opened up to three lanes and we have been working with local police to ensure there are no major traffic hold-ups.
"We encourage visitors to select one of the sessions to help limit congestion."
