Christmas themed events are out in full force this weekend, with multicultural celebrations, psychic readings, charity events and more.

1. VELVET SLEIGH – A CHRISTMAS CABARET

Join Lok & Kee for their final show of 2024 at Toowoomba’s Powerhouse for a unique and unforgettable experience on Saturday night.

Tickets are available through the Lok & Kee website.

2. TOOWOOMBA PSYCHIC EXPO’S SOUL JOURNEY

Returning in the spirit of Christmas, the annual psychic expo will arrive in town on Sunday at The Oaks Hotel.

Gold coin entry fee.

3. MISSION CENT SALE

Head to St Patrick’s Cathedral on Neil St for a bargain, multi draw raffle and a spot of afternoon tea on Saturday.

Entry is $10 and includes afternoon tea.

4. FILIPINO CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

Pasko in Queensland is set to be the biggest Christmas celebration hosted by the Filipino-Australian Business, Industry & Communities Council Qld.

The event will be held at the Railway Goods Shed on Saturday.

5. A BIG BAND CHRISTMAS

The Jim Miller Big Band will perform in cabaret style at the Drayton Hall on Sunday evening, with a swinging mix of festive favourites with a big band twist.

Entry is $10.

6. OPEN STUDIO

Eleanor & Ruby will open this weekend for a showcase of beautiful treasures from France at 112 Neil St.

7. COMMUNITY OPEN DAY AT HOPE HORIZONS

Join Hope Horizons at the Jenny Black Cancer Wellness Centre on Saturday to celebrate the opening of their new children’s playground and art and music therapy space.

Market stalls and more will be on offer.

8. TOOWOOMBA BLUES JAM

Head down to Bone Idol Brewery on Saturday for an afternoon of blue.

Sign ups for musicians start from 1.15pm on the day.

9. ROWES CHRISTMAS LIGHT SHOW

Watch the front of the Rowes building on Russell St come to life with nine gigantic musical animations.

Optimal viewing is from the footpath outside the National Hotel with parking available on both Russell and Keefe St.

10. MARKETS

A number of magical Christmas markets will take place across Toowoomba this weekend.

• Farmers Market at Queens Park, Saturday from 7am-noon.

• Twilight Christmas Markets and Tree Lighting at New Hope Toowoomba on Peace St, Saturday from 6pm.

• Arts Market – all weekend from 10am-2pm at 1 Goodsall St.

• Haden Market Day & Block Party at the Haden Public Hall, Saturday from 8am-1pm.

• Twilight Eats @ the Windmills, Saturday from 4pm-9pm in the grounds of Cobb + Co Museum.
