Winter Warmers Concert
THE Toowoomba Concert Band is holding a concert in the Callaghan Centre at St Saviour’s College on the corner of Perth and Neil Sts.
Running for 90 minutes, the Winter Warmers Concert will feature hits from The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and Queen.
It will be the first time the band has reunited for a formal concert with the group’s last performance in late 2019.
Doors will open on Sunday, July 25 at 1.30pm for a 2pm start.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for high school students and pensioners and free for young children.
Cash is preferred and bookings are not required.
Instagram workshop
BUSINESSES from the bush are invited to attend a three-hour-long workshop to learn all about social media marketing.
The session will showcase practical and useful strategies for business owners from the bush who specialise in handmade products.
Hosted by Little Moo Designs Sewcialists, the event will be held at Tinker art studio at 76 Russell St, on Sunday from 8.45am to midday.

Resin art session
LEARN to make your own resin serving board and coasters with a workshop hosted by Sip ‘n’ Dip Australia.
The event will start at 5pm on Saturday at the Coffee Club on Margaret St.
Dinner, a glass of wine, materials and the class will be included in the ticket price of $75.

Historical train ride
TAKE a ride on a mini-locomotive at the Highfields Pioneer Village on Sunday between 10am and 2.30pm.
A sausage sizzle, billy tea and damper will also be on offer as well as live entertainment.
Adult rides cost $5 and admission for children is $3.

Cabarlah markets
BROWSE items at a variety of stalls on Sunday when the Cabarlah markets return.
With fresh produce, craft and plants all on offer from 7.30am to 12.30pm, there will be something for everyone to enjoy at the Carbarlah Sports Ground.
Musician Doug Martin will also perform.
Entry is free.
Wellcamp Airport duathlon
MORE than 400 athletes will race on foot or bike on Saturday as part of the Wellcamp Airport duathlon.
Children’s races start from midday, followed by full distance races from 12.30pm and presentations at 3.30pm.
Members of the general public are welcome to attend with food and drinks available.

O’Callaghan Cup
ONE of Toowoomba’s biggest sporting events will return to the region this weekend.
Toowoomba Grammar School (TGS) will take on Downlands College in a series of rugby games for the O’Callaghan Cup on Saturday.
Spectators can catch all the action on the Old Boys’ Oval at TGS, from 9am while out-of-towners can stream the matches live online through Cluch TV.
The big sporting event is known for its rich history and for drawing in thousands of supporters every year.
Toowoomba fashion market
FIND some special preloved pieces at Sunday’s Toowoomba fashion market.
It will be the first time the event has been held this year.
Kicking off at 8am at shop 1, 520 Ruthven St, keen shoppers can enter via the Kwong Sang Walk behind IVY Designer Collections and The Rock Pub.
Coffee will be available at neighbouring store Oak and Vine.
Feeling Groovy on the Peace Train
HOP on the peace train this weekend and go back in time to a groovy era.
The Feeling Groovy On the Peace Train tour is heading to Toowoomba.
Colin Lillie from The Voice Australia will star in the production as Cat Stevens alongside Harry Baulderstone and Marcus Ryan as Simon and Garfunkel.
Audience members are set to be captivated by the award-winning voices singing classics like Mrs Robinson, Feelin’ Groovy, Father and Son and Wild World.
The tribute show will play at Armitage Centre at the Empire Theatre on Sunday from 7pm.
