A truck has blocked traffic at a major CBD intersection after it smashed into a rail bridge and flipped onto its side.

A truck has smashed into a rail bridge and flipped onto its side in Melbourne’s CBD.
The crash happened during the morning peak about 8.40am on Thursday at the intersection of Spencer and Flinders streets.
All Flinders St westbound lanes were closed at Spencer St, with traffic being diverted.
The southbound lanes on Spencer St were also being diverted
Motorists have been urged to avoid the area, while trains that ran through Clifton Hill station were instead travelling direct to Flinders Street.
Victoria Police are on the scene and traffic.
The intersection will reopen and trains will resume when it is safe to do so.
