Footage of a baby gender reveal burnout in suburban Brisbane has caught the attention of Queensland police.
Dashcam video provided to police shows a red Holden Commodore V conducting a gender reveal at Marsden on Saturday morning, with thick plumes of blue smoke filling the street as the driver swerved across the quiet street.
Detectives are now searching for the driver responsible, calling on anyone with information to come forward.
Police say the vehicle conducted a burnout on Burrinjuck Street and then Timberlee Drive, creating excessive noise and blue smoke which obstructed the visibility of other motorists on the public roadway.
There was a group of people gathered nearby taking photos and videos.
Anyone who has information in relation to who was driving the vehicle at the time has been urged to come forward.
The gender reveal has become a common act where parents discover the sex of their expected child via an arranged release of colour, often in front of family and friends, and often in a creative or personalised way.
Gender reveals often use blue coloured streamers, cakes, balloons, dyes - and obviously smoke - to indicate if a family is expecting a boy, and pink if a baby girl is on the way.
