Queensland: Man dies in horror crash on Pacific Motorway

A man has died in major crash on the Pacific Motorway in Queensland after he was thrown from his motorcycle early this morning.

Major delays on M1 after serious multi-vehicle crash

A man has died after he was thrown from his motorcycle into oncoming traffic on the Pacific Motorway in Queensland on Thursday morning.

The 33-year-old from Mount Warren Park, in the Logan region, was filtering through traffic in the northbound lanes when he collided with a car, causing him to be thrown into the southbound lanes near Shailer Park.

Queensland Ambulance service pronounced the rider dead at the scene.

Police said the crash occurred at Tanah Merah, near the Nujooloo Road overpass, at around 5.45am.

Commuters experienced “major delays” that pushed back into Springbrook earlier this morning.

All northbound and southbound lanes have been cleared and remain open.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash and are appealing for witnesses especially those with dashcam of the crash or the moments leading up to it to come forward.
