Investigations are under way after a cement truck dramatically crashed into a double-storey home in Sydney’s west.
The mixer collided with another car around 7.45am on Wednesday on Portia Rd, Toongabbie before it careened into the front wall of the nearby house.
When Fire and Rescue NSW arrived on the scene they found a burst water main and two damaged gas cylinders.
Both drivers suffered minor injuries and were treated by NSW ambulance paramedics.
Shocking images from the scene show one side of the house destroyed and the roof collapsed, while a white car was badly damaged following the crash.
No one was in the house at the time of the crash.
The cause of the crash is being investigated, with FRNSW Superintendent Adam Dewberry saying it is a timely reminder for the public to call triple-0 when they see or are involved in a crash.
Cornelia Rd is closed in both directions as a result.
