11-year-old boy fighting for life, three others injured, after serious crash in Victoria’s north

Four people — including three people aged 16 and under — have been left injured after a truck and an allegedly stolen car collided.

An 11-year-old boy is fighting for life and three others are injured following a serious crash between an allegedly stolen car and truck in Victoria’s north.

Investigators have been told the truck and an allegedly stolen Holden Cruze crashed about 3.30pm Monday near the intersection of Hosie Road and Benalla-Shepparton Road in Shepparton East.

A 16-year-old girl, who was allegedly driving the Holden Cruze, was injured and taken to hospital.

An 11-year-old passenger was taken to hospital with critical injuries, while another 15-year-old passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The 50-year-old female truck driver was also taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Investigations remain ongoing, with police urging anyone with information to come forward.
