It’s the game that stops a nation: the AFL Grand Final.
Always one of the biggest days on the national sporting calendar, with this year’s clash between Collingwood and Brisbane being no exception.
And it doesn’t matter whether you’re a diehard Magpies fan or a passionate Lions supporter, gathering some mates together to watch the big match is an annual Aussie tradition.
If you can’t be at the MCG, the next best thing will be securing a prime spot in front of a big screen at one of these top Adelaide venues.
The Torrens Arms Hotel manager Jake Deslandes understands the importance of finding a seat close to the screen, with his pub providing two screens for the footy fans.
Jake Deslandes said he was really excited about the Grand Final.
“Its going to be a really fun day, especially with the weather looking so nice and clear, it’s going to be packed and the bar is going to be full too,” he said.
He added that it will be a good atmosphere for footy fans.
“I get the feeling that because of the teams playing this year there won’t be any partisan supporters,” he said.
“So there’s just going to be a lot of people here just to enjoy the game because it looks like it will be a terrific contest.”
